Texas Judge Violates His Own Stay At Home Order To Go To Grandson’s Birthday Party

Not news

He did not call McCabe for advice. He called McCabe to … “request” that the photographs be taken down.

No shit, right? After the W administration and now this malignant shit funnel, with the GOP senate twisting itself in the pretzels to enable him… What do these people really have left to claim? They are conservatives because they say so, apparently…

And don’t even start to tell me that they are the party of Law and order! :rage::rage::rage:

Here’s what the article says:

That sounds like the County Judge is asking the attorney for advice about whether he can force the photos to be deleted, and the attorney advised him that the county judge did not have the power to do so.

BTW, there is no indication in his bio that County Judge Gravell is an attorney. He was “in the ministry” for 30 years, then became a Justice of the Peace, which in Texas does not require a law license. Neither does being a County Judge, which is an administrative and not legal position.

Under Texas law the “County Judge” was a position from our constitution. Starting in the late 1900s in most urban areas the position didnt actually participate as a judge in the justice system but became an administrator of county government.

The shame of this is that in a still Republican county he had been doing a pretty good job praising judges for reducing the county jail population and therefore exposure, public breakdown every day of cases that was clear and concise, working with the hated liberals in Travis county (Austin) and setting up orders that made sense.

As said above and below do as I say not as I do or I, me, me and mine are too important to follow the rules.

Who’s more strategic? The governor or Covid-19?

Neither.

You obviously do not understand how “family values” work as a linchpin of conservative standards and morals. The God-fearing parents of this kid cared enough to not abort him, right? If he happens to die because his grandfather puts him and his family at risk during a coronaviral pandemic, the preacher can remind the ten mourners standing six feet apart at graveside that the Children of Israel lost sons and daughters to pestilences in Biblical times too.

Slightly clearer information from Click2Houston:
After pictures of the judge in the firefighting suit were reportedly posted to Twitter, Gravell called a Williamson County defense attorney about having the photos taken down, the TV station reported.

“And, I immediately made it clear that I have no control over those photographs, I did not take the photographs and that I would do nothing to help them,” attorney Robert McCabe told the station.

KXAN reported that Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick “filed a criminal referral” about the matter with the county attorney.
OT: Florida is a swamp but I’m guessing you knew that. If Trump had a twin, he would be De Santis. They are such a mess.

Hmm …

 1. Someone actually took the time to make this judgment?

 2. I wonder if they discovered how much overlap there is between the two groups.

By and large, they are the same group—as are those who don’t believe the virus is as bad as it is.
