Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) announced on Thursday that the state will pause further reopening phases in light of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations surging.
Businesses that reopened under previous phases can continue to remain open.

Right?! They donāt get that they canāt punk a virus. They canāt ignore it. They canāt dictate to the virus, the virus dictates to them. They also donāt understand that they so screwed the pooch in the beginning by not thoroughly encouraging face masks and social distancing measures that it will be nearly impossible to convince people to start doing those things now. In short, theyāre going to have to reinstate stay at home measures due to their own incompetence.

Abbott just issued an executive order suspending all elective surgeries and procedures in Houston, Dallas, and some other areas ā only days before I was finally, finally going to get my chemo port removed. (Forgive the selfish whine. Just a disappointment.)
