Allen West, the chair of the Texas Republican party who branded the party with a QAnon-sounding slogan, announced his resignation suddenly on Friday.
“We used to be the storm.”

You know it is something rotten - that’s how they roll. And to resign a key spot it has to be REALLY rotten.

West … saying after the Supreme Court shot down an attempt to overturn the election results that “perhaps law-abiding states should bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.”
Somehow, it’s not hard to imagine the leaders of the Confederacy saying the same thing after the 1860 election.
He could always adopt one for the purpose, starting with, “…getting to know you.”
I have no doubt West is a human but what a wasteful example. Good riddance. Still, I wonder why he’s quitting. He fits right into Abbott and Paxton’s vision.

The news release added: “Allen West is entering the Betty Ford Clinic to join Steve Bannon and Don Trump Jr in rehab.”
He does know about the military justice system since he was prosecuted under Article 15, fined and forced to retire for roughing up an Iraqi kid.
But I seem to recall that they’re all supporting the guy who demanded that the faithful send all their money to him. Now they’re blaming it on Allen West? Hahahahahahahahahaha. Or, did Mr. West do some embezzling here? I guess I expect they are all crooks these days.
