Hey, @GOP? Here, let me hand both blocs a flamethrower.

I’d describe it as awkward more than tense.

I’m really bored.

After hearing yesterday’s testimony, Donald Trump’s behavior following the election and especially on January 6 is inexcusable.

Inexcusable.

Trump should be in jail.

The symbolism of McCarthy and Cheney walking off in opposite directions says it all. While I disagree vehemently with her politics, I have a lot of respect for Cheney to stand her ground. She’s actually right here. tRump has no place in a future GOP.

My thoughts as well. It’s worth watching the short clip for that visual alone.

As for Trump’s role in the future of the GOP, I view it as a catalyst to hasten its destruction.

The symbolism of McCarthy and Cheney walking off in opposite directions says it all…

Walking off? One of them maybe - pretty sure the other slithered.

History will be no kinder to this McCarthy than it was to the previous one.

As long as Trump insists that he is the Republican party, matters will only grow more ugly. He doesn’t allow that he might be incorrect.

Liz Cheney is as odious as the next Republican in most ways. But goddamn I like the way she throws a cartridge belt on the campfire!

Bet McCarthy would change jobs with Cheney if he could. He is discovering that leading the zoo that is the Republican house caucus is like herding rabid cats.

In regard to Trump and Republicans “policy of America first”, the best thing about Trump being a former president is that Vladimir Putin is no longer the most powerful man in America. And that is no joke.

I actually once worked under Liz. Straight player. She’s got balls of steel and while she’s rock-rib conservative, she’s old school. I can’t agree with her politics, but as a model of Republican opposition, she’s what I would opt for.

Cheney’s problem is that she has no place in the current GOP. I do not expect she will even be on the ballot come November 2022.
