The TN Republicans are defending something to the point of self humiliation. Is it freedom of speech? Is it democracy? Is it equality? Is it fairness or safety in the work place? Is it the right to pursue happiness? Is it the right to privacy?

Sorry for all of the rhetorical questions. It is none of those things, of course. They are protecting the ability for a minority of bigoted and largely ignorant white people to continue to dominate state politics - that is all.
