Texas Republican Senate nominee Ted Cruz talked about the tea party movement in his Tuesday remarks at the Republican National Convention, calling it a “great awakening.” Cruz was the tea party candidate in the Texas Senate primary who beat out the estabishment favorite, David Dewhurst, the lieutenant governor of Texas.
