Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) crusaded against voting rights during a call last week with Republican state lawmakers, claiming that Democrats are trying to expand voting rights to “illegal aliens” and “child molesters.”
Is Cruz talk about child molesting Catholic priests?
I mean, ask yourself this question. Who? Who among the Senate’s GQP members looks more likely than not to be a child molester?
According to a recording of an invitation-only call, Cruz said that Republicans must do all they can to stop that effort, alleging that if Democrats win a push to move sweeping election legislation through the Senate, the GOP won’t win elections for years to come.

For the GOP to survive, it has no alternative but to overthrow the constitutional order and abolish free and fair elections. For the foreseeable future, we are in an ongoing extraordinary crisis where the opposition is no longer loyal, or seeking to win the next election, but to overthrow the government, by violence if necessary. Interesting times we’re living in.
Just once I want someone to challenge one of the Rethuglicans to spell out who should be an eligible voter. Ask them how making it harder for minorities to vote accomplishes that goal.

This just proves Republicans know their positions are not in sync or reflective of the majority of Americans, and they have no intention of changing course. Instead, they’d much rather choose the voter than allow the voter to choose the candidate. Dangerously anti-democratic stuff from a party that appears to be in a panic about HR1.
