This weekend, Tea Party Nation (TPN) sent an email in support of Lynne Torgerson, who is running against Rep. Keith Ellison in Minnesota. In the email, TPN lists the reasons Ellison should be “retired.” Among them: “He is the only Muslim member of congress.”You may remember Tea Party Nation. The much-maligned for-profit group organized the first national Tea Party Convention, then tried to plan a second convention in Las Vegas this year, only to face opposition from other Tea Partiers who called the group a fake. This year’s convention was then mysteriously canceled.
