Isn’t Hollywood Reporter a more suitable venue for this “story.”

While this might seem more on the entertainment side, let me say this…I’m not a fan of Swift’s songs but my respect of her as a person has grown now that the Trump MAGA loving Kanye and Kim have been found out to be the LIARS after all!

I don’t actually know any of her songs and wouldn’t recognize them if they fell on my head, but I saw her perform with Carly Simon once, and was impressed by … well, maybe I can call it her feminist spirit, until someone suggests better language.

I don’t listen to any of their musics, but as far as I can tell, Swift has actual talent. Kanye may as well but he’s buried it with his narcissistic behavior. ETA: Kim was an Andy Warhol “15 minutes of fame” talentless hack whose time has been extended by social media.

Since I don’t listen to a lot of modern pop music I kind of know her work in passing from the NPR All Songs podcast and chatting with younger folks at work as well as friends kids. Some of them and several commentators were upset with her because she didn’t have anything to say about issues in 2016. At least in 2018 she took a stand against the odious Marsha Blackburn.
As far as Modern Country is concerned I’m not a fan of what Tom Petty called “Bad rock band with a fiddle” but more of a traditionalist; Cash, Willie, Waylon etc. as well as what bleeds over to the Americana format. Sturgel Simpson, Kacey Musgraves etc.
And why does a band have the name Lady Antebellum?

Whatever their reason, it’s probably not good enough.

One of their early promotional photoshoots was at a bunch of antebellum houses. That was the inspiration for the name, it seems.
