Nothing like starting the day watching Tucker make a lying claim and say he has proof coming up, and then have the guest who was presumably in a position to know just calmly say no, he didn’t see any of that. I wonder if Tucker made that face of his, the expression of disbelief and disgust someone once described as looking like he was watching a person eat mayonnaise out of the jar with a spoon.
Grade 12 Urban Geography taught me that the overriding reason there’s are corporate lobbyists is to screw over the public. So the idea that 80% of funds, available for transport, go to highways isn’t a surprise. The ripping out of electrical streetcar lines and replacing them with gas guzzling busses within the urban setting is another example. Both are the product of the petrochemical and auto industries of America to further enhance their profits with complete disregard for the public’s health or interest.
True. But over the long term, if we’re really serious about a sustainable economic system, we’re going to have to relinquish a whole lot of this “I want it yesterday” economic model–especially as regards agriculture. Like many of you, I can remember a time when buying produce in season was a Thing, and civilization didn’t collapse because we couldn’t get table grapes in the winter.
I really hate that I might have something in common with Tucker, but whenever I see a clip of him I get that same look on my face, along with that tightening in my throat that suggests imminent nausea.
