Has Rice been elected to any office?
Is she a proven campaigner?
The answer to both is :NO!
Her job history does not include any elective office.
Your rock is just gravel.

While her stand against the War in Iraq (contra Bidenās) is laudable her support for the Libyan intervention and her responses to the Benghazi attack (as well the resulting chaos in Libya) will get a lot of scrutiny from our Fair-haired POTUS.
Now, now that former intelligence official obviously had never worked for a jenius like Trump. According to our White House resident jenius heās got the best intelligence of anyone who sat in the Oval Office. Everyone else was a piker compared to the self avowed jenius.
This is the Trump Two Step:
Make sure that your briefer is instructed to tell you nothing that in any way refers to Russia.
Play Sgt. Schultz.
There are many minority women who are more qualified.
I like Demings and Duckworth, but thatās only the Dās.
I like that a lot. Just one caveat, itās not one of Trumpās lies, not with that ābest of my abilityā clause in there. Thereās room for a whole fleet of Mac trucks, driving side by side, to get through that loophole.
The short list seems to be Warren, Harris and Rice. Pros and cons for each. I donāt envy Bidenās campaign doing the vetting.
Depending on what I ate for breakfast and which side of the bed I got out on - Iām for any of the three. Especially when one makes a good public statement or takes a stand on the issues. (Consider those actions to be VEEP auditions) This is certainly a good one from Rice.
All three have exceptional skillsets and talents - and each has their own luggage. Both private - and as perceived by the public. Itās a tough vetting process.
Guess weāll know soon.
I still say this is the real scandal and that the national press is just catching on to it is also a media scandal.
I cannot like this enough.
yep, she has the fire inside for the job. Probably has a hit list ready, hopefully.
I thought Rice for VP way back when Biden announced.
She knows the system, doesnāt take crap and has very little baggage to bang on her about.
Except of course, Obama.
Those around the world that matter know her and that experience alone is needed to rebuild what has been lost because of this amature creep show we are stuck with for the moment.
Two in a row that I cannot like enough! I think Susan Rice would make an excellent VP.
I could go for any of them. Since back in the day I have been a Warren fan. Harris is a comer. Smart as a tack and very sure of herself on TV. Rice is the person I would like making life and death decisions for American troops.
Given Joeās age, unlike most elections, we have to ask which would make the best President. Again a tough choice.
Iām quite puzzled by our sudden fascination with the nicknames game here at TPM. Let me be clear: Black people donāt like nicknames. Weāve been called out of our given names since ātime immemorialā, (yes, thatās how we say it) and we donāt much like it at all, unless itās a really close family member doing it. We need to abandon rather than popularize or mimic this Trumpian proclivity. Her name is either Dr. Susan Rice or Madam Ambassador Susan Rice, or just plain Maāam, to you or me. Please.
Iām in pretty much the same boat.
Now that is a recipe for an Electoral Disaster of Biblical proportions!!! The Blue Wave exceeds a tsunami and becomes a GOP-destroying flood!
There is no such thing as the perfect vp pickā¦no matter who Biden choice is the rwnj are going to rack them over the coals
The national press BROKE the story. We wouldnāt know about it except for them. The real scandal is TRUMP. Every thing about him is a scandal.
It doesnāt have to. Bidenās VP pick will only have two months of actual campaigning after the (virtual) convention, so how good she is as a campaigner doesnāt really matter. She can think on her feet in interviews like this, and sheād do fine against Pence in a debate. Does anyone doubt that?
The most important thing in a VP pick for me, given Bidenās age, is someone prepared to handle both the domestic and international scene if they have to take over on a momentās notice. Sheās the best qualified on the international front, which I think is the most dangerous threat in the next few years. Putin would hate her, which is a bonus. The Chinese would know she has a steel spine and doesnāt mess around too, another bonus.
Amen.
The national press played it as an inside the beltway process story for the better part of two weeks. It never was. The process shit was just that, shit, and a way for Trump to slither away yet again.
