Former national security adviser Susan Rice on Sunday slammed President Trump for his claim that he was never briefed on the intelligence suggesting Russia paid bounties to Taliban-linked militants to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
"Rice then said that she does not “buy this story that he was never briefed” because her successor John Bolton “would have walked straight into the Oval Office” like she would have and “informed the President of this intelligence.”
And speaking of Bolton he was on and knocked down this false premise of “VERIFIED INTELLIGENCE” No such animal.
Could someone explain to me why anyone should think that the bounties on American soldiers are confined to Afghanistan?
Why is no one from the press asking this question?
Well when someone who actually had the job as National Security Advisor it’s hard to claim she doesn’t know how the job works. It’s Trump that doesn’t know how his current job works.
I am beginning to get my head around Vice President Susan Rice. Can you imagine the way she would light Q-Tip up in a debate. She would have him crying for mother.
Yep, he creates such a toxic, chaotic environment that people are literally afraid of giving him bad news. That may work just fine for shitty hotels and golf courses, but it doesn’t at all work for the presidency. Also, how much do y’all wanna bet that after Labor Day his campaign staff will be completely fabricating polling numbers just to shut him up?
Of course, the intel people would never pass on unverified intelligence to the president. Remember all the solid, verified information on Iraq’s WMDs that the president was given? The IC never briefs the president on anything that hasn’t been completely verified and corroborated by at least three different sources.
“This is an extraordinary revelation. The President of the United States has demonstrated absolutely callous disregard for the safety and security of American forces in a war zone and there’s no explanation for this,” Rice said, before questioning why Trump has not offered reassurance to the public that he “will get to the bottom of this intelligence.”
Minor correction: There is no good explanation for this.
There is a perfectly straightforward bad explanation, and that is that we have a lying traitor, wholly owned by hostile foreign powers, occupying the highest office of the land.
With the knowledge, support, and connivance of one of our two leading political parties. (We’ll be coming for you, Mitch. Oh yes, will we ever.)
