Ehhhh. I’ve voted Democrat my whole life and I’m a litigator who does quite a bit of public interest litigation. I don’t see Chevron as a partisan issue. It’s a double edged sword. It’s been useful for liberal administrative action on climate change yes. But I’ve seen Chevron deference used by government trying to protect industry from statutes. Putting aside the policy implications, I’m really not a fan of the doctrine constitutionally. Agencies shouldn’t get any deference to interpret statutes. It’s pretty clear cut violation of separation of power principles.

Yeah whatever. The congresscritters don’t write the laws, ALEC does, and technical regulations are way too complex to let a bunch of C students anywhere near them, plus Congress has enough triuble passing anything, let alone reacting to changes in science, technology and culture
