The Supreme Court opened a new front in its war against the administrative state Monday when it took up a case that asks it to consider overruling a doctrine that has long helped form the basis of executive branch agencies’ authority.

Chevron was unanimous. 9-0. Bill Rhenquist was totally fine with it.

Destroying the American Republic from within.

That is the Federalist Society’s ultimate goal.

With help from Moscow Mitch who engineered a supermajority on this Court to do just that.

The Federalist Society’s goal is propping up the pre-Lochner version of the American Republic. That Republic very much existed.

Well I have been wondering what version of society they are trying to enable. Can you provide a few high points? I assume destruction of unions, curtailing of most environmental regulations, removal of all standards that restrict enforced Christianity (in the sense that prayer comes back into schools) and elimination of social safety nets - sort of a high tech version of the robber baron era. Am I close?

If the Court is asking briefing on whether it should overturn Chevron, it’s already made up its mind.

The Federalist Society’s goal is to create a Gilded Age…one that comforts their kind at the expense of everyone else. They live it large and the rest of us work out asses off to keep them there.

Outcome now easy to predict, knowing, as we do, how these 5 are bought and paid for.
They couldn’t care less about what harm they will do to heaven knows how many.
Corrupt to the core.

But to Thomas, Alito, etc., Rhenquist was a left-wing activist.

Gutting any and all national economic regulation and freeing state legislatures to unleash cultural jihad against their residents.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson recused herself.

Either she is trying to lead by example or she hasn’t learned that recusal is now optional.

The cruelty of these fuckers has no bottom. Congress is back to its “work requirements” for Medicaid. That’s it, guys, strip this band aid of medical care from all kinds of people who are unemployable. I’ve been acquainted with a few. No way could they get to a job, much less hold one down.

The effect of this is non-viable. Here is where ideology meets reality.

Don’t worry, guys. I’m sure Democrats are all ready with a “plan B” in case the SC literally guts the Federal govt.

They won’t stop until they overturn McCulloch vs. Maryland.

I.e. until the Articles of Confederation are finally restored and the US exists under a plantation system of governance with a bunch of white massas (aka corporate titans and multi-billionaires) running everything.
