“And then, and then, no wait this gets better. He said, seriously, he said, well you’re all cleared. None of you would have leaked it. I swear, I can’t breathe.”

Let me just get my theory out of the way, it was Clarence and he told Ginni and she told everyone in right wing world she associates with.

What’s being overlook in this mishegoss of a scandal is the real world effect Dobbs is having and will continue to have on women’s lives for now and the foreseeable future. We can piss and moan about sloppy detective work and so on, but we overlook the damage to women at our own peril.

Even here, a liberal bastion of liberal opinions, the damage SCOTUS has caused has been made the butt of too many lame jokes and not one word of commiseration to the women who are going to feel the effects most acutely.

Kagan and Sotomayor should put out their own affidavits stating that they didn’t leak it, just to troll Alito.

Exhibit A sitting next to Exhibit B. Ain’t we got fun.

What’s this go to do with right wing members of SCOTUS assuring women won’t have reproductive rights ever again.

@socialista Same question.

Peter Sellers and women’s rights, you’re going to have to explain.

Can you elaborate? I see Dems outnumbering Rs but in what. P. S. Nothing’s obvious.

I guess Jackson’s would be irrelevant because she hadn’t been seated yet?

@littlegirlblue, I don’t know anyone on this site that would minimize the damage that has been done to women, not just on this issue, but on a raft of others as well. Except to continue to rail about it and try to elect reasonable Congresscritters that might fix the problem, what else is there to do?

It’s (slightly) clear that someone (either a clerk or a justice) leaked the preliminary to a reporter.

Though that’s clear, I think there are seven defense attorneys who will love to run interference for the leaker (or leakers).

It would be entertaining

Eh, I can see some questions the non-Alito justices might have asked…

‘Have you talked to Sam?’
‘Did you make him sign an affadavit?’
‘Have you considered that if he did it, he’s got a motive to lie to you?’

Well thank goodness that none of these people who determine the law of the land and decide who gets to live and die were subjected to the indignity of having to answer for themselves under the weight of legal pressure!

I’m pretty sure it was Clarence because for one he’s opposed to repro rights, we know he confides in Ginni, and we know she loves to spread right wing dirt.

I don’t know that there is anything else we can do, but to accept the loss of repro rights because of the misogynists on SCOTUS as just another looney right wing story is all wrong, if it weren’t I’d gladly join in.
