Supreme Court Issues Stay, At Least Temporarily Blocking Mifepristone Restrictions From Taking Effect

Is there an option to just get the bargle and the jiggery without the argle and the pokery?

Stupid people engage in denial all the time, because, well, they’re stupid. Awareness of and respect for evidence-based reality and trust in experience and experts are hallmarks of intelligence. Stupid people have “faith” and live in denial.

We gave away the 2016 Presidential Election to Donald Trump.

Trump put forth three individuals who were confirmed to the Supreme Court.

I should mention Mitch McConnell who had a big hand in the above

We have to cope with what we enabled

At present, our coping mechanisms should include the reactions of those affected by this

I’m deeply shocked. Not.

We do pretty well and didn’t need a tax cut, but saved many thousands of dollars as we were right in the sweet spot for a lot of the changes. Not make out like bandits 0.001% though.

I mean, I’ll take anything we can get, but I think this is meaningless as far as tea leaves go. All they did is put on hold the rulings of the lower courts while they decide whether to (actually) put on hold the rulings of the lower courts, while they decide whether to even consider an appeal

Worried about what? Roberts getting a hemorrhage from sitting so hard on his thumbs?

I can only presume now that the justices would welcome a case testing whether an association of ER doctors and pediatricians who have to treat child gunshot victims have standing to sue the makers of assault weapons.

Martha Coakley lost Ted Kennedy’s seat in Deep Blue Massachusetts and cost us 50% of the ACA

Hillary Clinton’s coronation got us Donald Trump

Ruth Ginsberg refusing to retire under Obama got us this supreme court

What will Diane Feinstein’s legacy be?

Wednesday?

They didn’t want to blow up the weekend news drop?

Robed theocratic assholes. Don’t hold you breath thinking they’ll do the right thing this time. They could’ve already done that today but once again…nope, they’re just gonna try their darnedest to give the wingnuts what they want in the end, even if it means changing how the availability of the drug can be procured. Besides, when it comes to abortion, these wingnuts on the court don’t do science. In fact, that’s the last thing they take into consideration even if the entire issue is about the science.

Its soooo aggravating to watch how Roberts et al., are pretending to make these decisions, as if they’re actually considering the law on some higher level. Bullshit. The rightwing nutjobs on the bench have proven they are nothing more than political hacks.

Trump submarined the Blasey-Ford complaint dealing with Kav…and just before we could gain control of the Senate, the GOP got Barrett.

But the Dem management of the 2016 Convention produced a Party at war with itself, post-convention

No that was Blanche Lincoln and Ben Nelson thinking a shittier bill might help them get elected.

Scott brown was seated Feb 4th 2010.

ACA was passes Dec 24 2009.

Paul Kirk was appointed for the interim after Kennedys death.

Agree, Coakley was a shit candidate. But had she won she’d still be in there, yuck

We cant say that, She may have in fact won a fair primary and still lost.

That only one of the three seats. We’d still be 5-4.

She hugged Lindsey:rofl::rofl:

Started before then.

No sitting Elected democrat sought the nomination for the open primary. None.

There is no way that happened unless threats were made. (Withhold future support etc)

The die was cast then

The irony is without other credible candidates, the DNC made Bernie.

It’s like time travel movies where you find the protagonist actually was the cause of the thing they went back in time to fix…
