Supreme Court Greenlights Chipping Away Of Executive Branch Power

As bad as the SC overreach is it is leading to a remedy they will not like. They are going to push us until we push back. It is coming.

I agree with the sentiment, but I’m still not a fan of burning the village to save it. Andrew Jackson was a world-class genocidal douchebag and repeating his “let [the court] enforce it” nonsense doesn’t get us anywhere good.

Not yet, but they are working on it!

Agree. The court is the most corrupt we’ve seen in 50 years and should regarded as such.

You thought the Don was a danger to the world’s future? Wait until this cabal hits its stride…

Is there some way to neutralize, oh, I mean incapacitate, uh, find some way to lessen Judge Tipton’s capacity to issue made-to-order constraints on a Democratic government? Make him ambassador to the British Antarctic Territories, or something? Cut off his allowance?

I agree the sentiment and with your caution about implementing it. At some point, the time for caution will have passed. Maybe it already has.

These restraints on executive power will be tossed aside the moment the GQP takes the White House.

Once a Republican becomes President, they’ll get over it.

So in this co-equal standoff, who limits judicial power?

The time has come to bring the corrupted Supreme Court to heel. (Though I wonder why Barrett joined the losing dissent. Is she perhaps aware of how perilous is the ground on which SCOTUS now stands?) The Court must have its jurisdiction trimmed, its ranks filled out with new members to offset the corrupted majority, be subjected to a meaningful and enforceable code of ethics, and have term limits imposed for new members to be recruited from the existing federal appellate judiciary.

SCOTUS is bringing on the sweeping discrediting of the whole federal court system and is continuing to play with fire in destroying settled law/precedents and unthinkable roadblocks to democratic rule.

Time for a new Judiciary Act to start getting us back on track. And for ending the filibuster to accomplish this desperately needed reform.

The era of Small Government (if it ever was) is over.

Just like once they get majorities in the house and senate they’ll demolish the filibuster and pass federal legislation outlawing abortion and a whole bunch of other things. States rights are for pussies.

OT but concerning the Secret Service texts that were “lost”. Data was"being migrated" a cnn article says. My question is where was this “data” migrated from and where did it get sent to? This question hangs over the article like ripe fruit but it was never explained.

They have always wanted it big, just in different ways from the left—namely, ways that facilitate control, violence, and pain in the name of either greed and/or ideological madness and/or ontological desperation to feel more powerful and therefore better than some other group.

I would like to think otherwise but ACB voting with the minority has the feel of ‘fair and balanced’ because her vote wasn’t needed.

I idealist dreamer in me wonders if she might form an alliance with the other newest member of the court KBJ?

Exactly my first thought.
