The United States is a failed experiment.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined the three liberals in dissent; it was Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s first involvement in a case since she was sworn in last month.
If guys are into blue Governors, then with the exception of Alabama’s nominee, it’s man the ramparts time.
It’s all the rage…VOTING.
Biden should ignore the court, nullifying its authority. This is such an obvious case of the judiciary attempting to steal authority from the executive. Biden should have set the precedent with that grounded warship, but it isn’t too late.
It should be at this point.
And, of course, the constant refrain of the minority’s dissents under the next reactionary administration will be, “The same majority ruled otherwise just (1, 2, 5, 6…) years ago.”
The Republicans incited politicizing the SCOTUS, DJT followed through with his appointments. DJT politicized, corrupted, and soiled our legal institutions and our moral and ethical life.
SO let me guess!
Will the corrupted court vote 6-3 or 5-4 to overturn Stinky Bannon’s Guilty verdict?
I wish it wasn’t an election year, and I wish the vast majority of Americans weren’t so goddamn xenophobic and racist, because the appropriate response to this is for Biden to announce that he will halt all deportations, and allow all refugees in without screening until the supreme Court stops pissing him off.
Of course, as much as this would be the right thing to do, would help the country immensely, would improve the economy, and would save lives, it would be unpopular the polls and might cost Democrats a few percentage points.
Do you really think the supreme Court is going to take up a misdemeanor on appeal, when there are no questions of facts, when the only defense they’ve already dismissed? Oh well of course they will. Of course they will
Sounds like a situation where Biden should take a page from the current presidential fav of the GOP and tell the court to go ahead enforce their own ruling.
I think the Biden administration should make a motion to the district court every day, asking permission to implement some tiny immigration policy or other, in effect forcing the district court to take on the responsibility of managing US day to day immigration policy, which the District Court is taking away from the administration. In the words of Colin Powell, you break it, you own it.
Federal courts do not give advisory opinions.
What needs to happen is the Democrats need to hold the House by enough seats so we do not have a Manchin/Sinema situation their and also pickup enough Senate seats so we no longer have it in the Senate, end the filibuster and add seats to the Supreme Court. Even more importantly, they need to make DC and Puerto Rico states adding 4 Democrat senators thereby making it much harder for Moscow Mitch or a sound alike to ever become majority leader.
Somebody needs a lesson in English grammar. You know punctuation, sentence structure and stuff like that. This is a little better but who knows??? I’m not a writer or journalist.

Works both ways. If they nullify Congressional subpoena power the D’s can ignore any subpoena given to them by an R Congress.
America’s mainspring has been overwound and is broken. A new key will not help.
Like a raging case of Syphilis, the legacy of the Trump regime lives on, and no treatment exists to cure our nation of it so long as the Supreme Court radical right wing supermajority exists. They will ensure Democrats in Congress and the presidency are forced to only what the GOP wants, whether on the state or federal level.
Minority GOP rule in action.
