I always like to append to accounts of DOGE destruction what I consider the not dissimilar ambitions of Russ Vought (who I don’t thinks gets nearly enough credit for his contributions to the Trump 2 horrors) to put our long-suffering professional corps of civil servants "in trauma.’ Surely an action proposed with only the best of intentions towards our government, our people and our nation. Right?

I think another outcome is possible-- he instructs his sycophants to devise a new, extra-gold peace prize in his name, then declare him the first winner. Also the second, third, etc., but every year will be a “surprise.”

It blows the mind that the Supremes (on the right) don’t seem to understand the danger we are in. Or they do and don’t give a damn. Either way, isn’t it time to organize a daily protest at the court? or a letter writing campaign? With this court enjoying the worst polls numbers in ages, you would think it would give them pause but perhaps they are getting “paid” to be frivolous with the Constitution. Your thoughts.

Let me see if I have this right. The Trump Administration induces thousands of Social Security employees to resign their jobs. Their only replacement, if there is one, is reassigned employees who are untrained on their new jobs and who are almost worse than useless for now because of the mistakes they make. The only solution, other than pointless exhortations to work harder, is to give the remaining employees lots of overtime. So, you pay employees 150% of their regular wages to do the work, or some of it, instead of paying the employees you got rid of 100% of their regular wages to do the same work.
I’m glad we’ve got great managers running Social Security like a business.

So you’re telling us it looks every bit as bad from Canada as it does to us. I am in complete agreement with you. I don’t think we recover from this - definitely not in my lifetime. He has barely started on the economy yet - I live in dread anticipation of the next idiotic “chess move”.

The whispering of a BFD “a big fucking deal” by Biden we have yet to hear the end of, as if it was a big constant NSFW utterance. But tRump saying FUCK on TV in an interview in his regular appearance before the press, with no impulse control once again, is just tRump being tRump. No biggie.
The corporate media is giving him kudos for calling a cease fire less than 24 hours after calling for bombing and telegraphing its coming. The media is so fucked right now. Its hard to understand why they’re capitulating to his most fascist tendencies so much, in such a short period of time.

That should strengthen Bove’s nomination. Yesterday the Supreme Court said it is fine for the administration to tell the courts to fuck off so Bove clearly has the judicial scholarship and temperament to be on the federal bench.
