Stone’s Friends Organize Pro-Pardon Group | Talking Points Memo

Roger Stone’s friends have his back — or at least former Trump campaign official Michael Caputo does.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://talkingpointsmemo.com/?p=1291082

A corrupt system is being bent to help Roger Stone, who has done many bad things over the years and has now been convicted of several felonies, avoid spending any time in jail for his lawbreaking.

Meanwhile, an unknown number of people of color are rotting in our jails, thrown away for years or decades under mandatory sentencing laws for drugs or other minor non-violent crimes, and even when released they are marked in ways that limit their ability to earn a living, vote, and so on.

I’m not sure if there is a better demonstration of the dichotomy of the injustice of our justice system than this.

Their time is probably better spent planning the party for when it happens…

So they concur that he’s stone cold guilty?

"fraught with peril’’ is a phrase that’s used to drum up attention and drama…and money.

Caputo wants in on all three.

OT, but I thought Trump said that, owing to him, the economy was the best since evah! His lies are bashing headlong into each other like bumper cars driven by blind chimpazees.

Taking up a collection to bribe Trump?

Does anyone even like Roger Stone.? He seems like a slimy political grifter.

Is it a bribe when Trump names the price?

What happened to that guy who said Roger was like a father to him and fell completely apart on Ari Melber’s show way back when? He got a subpoena or something and freaked out.

He’s crashing head on into his own damn wall.

Wait, I thought Trump’s new budget had a new pay raise in it, so he’s cutting the already scheduled raise and then teasing them with a new raise for the future? Who would trust him to follow through? It’s pretty clear that the budget is going to become the military and big payouts to the wealthy and corporations, and little for anyone else, if Trump and the Republicans ever get ahold of the entire government again…and it will ruin our finances.

Paid for with “Mexican redemptions.” Mexicans are inveterate coupon savers? Who knew?

It’s not a bribe if Trump posts the cost* for services on the menu board at the new dive thru window at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

  • No coupons accepted, and some restrictions apply to services provided.

So mob rule is going to be a weighing factor??? Nonsense!!! Madness!!!

He’s amusing to some, a hero to others, and instead of grifter I think he prefers “political provocateur”. Provocateur looks classier in his business cards and Tweeter bio.

Hey, speaking of sexy time which always comes to mind when referring to Roger Stone…Sean Spicer has the perfect Valentines gift for you to send to your honey bunny…on sale only $199!

Particularly since he may not be there in 2021 and the House (which I think the Dems will keep) will have a lot to say about this if he is. It’s pretty obvious that Trump knows nothing about the nuts and bolts of a budget put together by “trickle down” functionaries in the OMB.
