A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo.
As of Thursday morning, it’s still too early to tell which party will control the Senate and House after the widely expected “red wave” turned out to be more of a pink dribble.
2 things: 1. I am relatively confident that the Dems will keep control of the Senate. Arizona seems to be a lock, and as Josh pointed out, the possibilities are looking pretty good in Nevada as well. If Rev. Warnock also wins (As I think he will…) the power of the ‘dynamic duo’ will be eliminated! 2. The new favorite MSM meme seems to be the expected coming battle between Mr. Trump and Gov. DeSantis. However, I don’t think that is going to happen. Gov. DeSantis is smart enough to know that Mr. Trump could destroy or seriously weaken his political prospects through 2 years of relentless attacks. The MAGA base may like Gov. DeSantis, but it still belongs to Mr. Trump, and would probably not take kindly to an upstart governor trying to depose their messiah. I’m guessing Gov. DeSantis is hoping that the DOJ, FBI, or ‘1 French fry too many’ will do his dirty work for him.
I would not mind at all to see Boebert by the side of the road with a bit of cardboard that said “please, anything will help”.
Edit to add
An article on cnn compares Walker and Warnock’s ideas about abortion. It describes Walker’s stance as “compassionate and in alignment with the majority of Americans” and Warnock"s as “abortion on demand and funded by taxpayers”. Now tell me cnn isn’t Fox in disguise.
