Yeah…instead of the threat of Trump overturning the Election, a danger which lasted 11+ weeks, we are now all under the Big Top looking at the Clowns and the man (Trump) being (metaphorically) shot out of a cannon.

The difference between how the GOP treated Steve King and is treating Marjorie Taylor Green is this:
“King maintains that his words were taken out of context in the article, and that McCarthy was predisposed to get rid of him because he saw him as an obstacle to his path to the speakership.”
That is the GOP saw getting rid of King as a move to expand its “tent”. Today the GOP is just trying to hold onto its base. Whether just holding its base will lead to the speakership is doubtful but losing the GOP base will destroy the party. What this all means is Greene and not McCarthy has control over the GOP.
Or, as Frank Herbert put it in his science fiction book ‘Dune’, The power to destroy a thing gives you absolute control over it".
Nobody much cares or is inspired by either McCarthy, Cheney, McConnell or even Ted Cruz. Most of the base realize they are actually harmed by their economic policies. However in Greene they see their dreams of a White Christian nation. Losing the “Greene’s” of this world will destroy the GOP and especially in the House of Representatives and McCarthy knows it.
