Stefanik Whines About Repercussions For Pushing Trump Falsehoods That Incited Capitol Riots | Talking Points Memo

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) on Tuesday complained about her removal from an advisory committee to Harvard University’s Institute of Politics over her peddling of unfounded claims of voter fraud. That exact Trump-fueled election delegitimization crusade ultimately incited the deadly insurrection of the Capitol last week.

Pointing out blatant lies is not an “intolerant liberal view.”

The ones who knew better before their Faustian bargain seem to be protesting most shrilly – Graham, Cruz, Rubio, Stefanik were critical of Trump until strategically self-lobotomizing.

Their whining now is about Trump, but also: they can’t admit they made the wrong decision, because of the social stigma against prostitution.

How dare a school based on facts and empirical data not enable counterfactual fantasy devoid of data!

Cry harder, Stefie.

So Stefanik is an Ivy League grad, from an east coast state, which -checking my conservative dictionary means she’s met the criteria to be called an Ivy League-East Coast-Elite. Why haven’t her constituents burned her at the stake?

Yo Rep. Stefanik, self-aware much? Amazing how stupid some Ivy-League elites like Hawley, Cruz, and Stefanik can be. All that expensive education going to waste.

The vast majority are willing to go down with the defiant trump Titanic. I won’t be surprised to see many incidents of sniping and asymmetrical warfare going in to the future.

Live by the putsch, die by the putsch. To victimize others, and then, when called out, claim you are a victim is so grotesque as to be laughable. Word have consequences, Ms. Stefanik!

Please, no more articles about these Victims mourning trivial losses.
A Harvard advisory committee is a gold star on the CV, and not much else.

Couldn’t happen to a more deserving person. She and Lee Zeldin are two of Trump’s top enablers and both from NY.

Does anyone know if this is a paid position or if it is more a prestigious position. The headline describes it as a “cush Harvard gig.”

Hey Newtie, the American people, when given a choice in 2020 between Trump and Biden, picked Biden.

I guess your crowd blew it.

Harvard needs to review it’s admissions process. Did her parents buy a chair so she could get in?

I like these articles. The more losing, the better. The more consequences, large and small, for telling the Big Lie, the better.

The only risk is overdosing on schadenfreude, but I’m trying to limit my blog/twitter/cable consumption.
