The administrative arm of the federal court system rebuked the Trump administration Friday for sending out an email blast to nearly the entire judiciary branch, including court employees and apparently every judge in the country. Per emails reviewed by TPM, judiciary employees across the country received an an email from an human resources account run…
Same email went out to employees of the Library of Congress, which is part of the Legislative Branch.
If Trump walked into a Post Office today, his response would be ‘all this shit is mine’.
If he or his surrogates are talking, you can bet that they are lying. Only 207 more weeks of having the most powerful person in the country test his rapey and dictatorial behaviors using the levers of power. A real Stephen Miller wet dream.
Jefferson on despotism:
“They [the assembly] should look forward to a time, and that not a distant one, when a corruption in this, as in the country from which we derive our origin, will have seized the heads of government, and be spread by them through the body of the people; when they will purchase the voices of the people, and make them pay the price.”
The incompetence is breathtaking.
The email prompted confusion among judiciary employees, in part because they do not work for the executive branch,
But they work for King Donald, and that is all that really counts.
I’m hoping it’s only half that if America wakes up and the Dems take back control of the House and Senate during the midterms. If they’ll even allow elections in two years, or allow elections not tainted by Elon’s “computers”.
What incompetence? TSF knows every branch of federal government is now under his sole control. This is just to see if he can email as all his minions directly.
He’ll just ignore the injunctions and attempts to stop him. How many divisions does the court system have, to paraphrase.
Perhaps the scariest part of the Legislative Branch, to MAGA.
Arrogance and hubris not incompetence. This is just another attempt to break through historic barriors of norms of behavior in Trump’s insatiable lust for total power.
Where’s Chief Trumpet John Roberts reply to this shit?
He’s responsible for this clusterfuck.
The crucial question is: Did anyone reply all?
There might be a reason for a government wide distribution, but an email list going to millions of people isn’t really the way to do it. An efficient system would send information to the various departments, which would then flow it down to their workers, with specific information for their department. This…this is something you put together if you want to allow Trump to send missives to the entire government apparatus with his propaganda/demands for how the federal government has to work, according to him.
They really are on a full court press to get the entire federal government under Trump’s control, regardless of what the Constitution has to say about it.
Every one of these step on a rake moments by these assholes in their first week in office is eroding their support amongst Federal and US armed services employees. These are massive unforced errors and they are destroying his power even as they try to coalesce it. It’s a confirmation that they are not competent. They are shit posters who think they have power. We will defeat them.
Oh…duh…can’t believe this wasn’t my immediate assumption when I heard about the stupid proposal…
Not the first word that comes to mind. Authoritarian overreach and corruption seems more fitting.
Well, well, John Roberts, what have you wrought?
Officials with the Administrative Office of U.S. Courts, the agency that oversees the judicial branch workforce, quickly moved to remind both their staff and the Trump administration that they are different branches of government.
Cute they think that. Day 1 Dictator Trump does not countenance any resistance to his rule.
The Library of Congress and the libraries across the country that cooperate with it are constantly trying to develop more inclusive vocabulary for searchable subject headings. Among other things these terms apply to gay people, trans people, people of various ethnicities. I hope the big bully is not going to try to derail these efforts, not that he has any authority to do so.
