State GOP Bill That’ll Make It Easier To Prosecute Voters Lands On DeSantis’s Desk

A GOP-led bill expanding statewide prosecutors’ jurisdiction in Florida just made it to Gov. Ron DeSantis’s desk. The proposal aims to make it easier to prosecute those arrested by DeSantis’s sham election crimes police force, and critics worry it could dissuade some residents from voting.

They should just set up shop in The Villages and prosecute all those MAGA idiots who voted twice or more for Trump.

That’s a feature, not a concern, for the authors.

“State GOP Bill That’ll Make It Easier To Prosecute Voters Lands On DeSantis’s Desk.”

Shouldn’t that read “…To Prosecute Illegal Voters…”?

Oh, wait – it’s DeSantis.

(Does ‘I coulda had a V-8’ forehead slap)

Never mind…

No doubt, after he signs the law, the first ones he goes after are the Trump voters in The Villages who voted twice and those who cast ballots on behalf of dead relatives.

The next step will be when DeSantis demands the state House create an anti-Republican voting committee. They can call it the House Unrepublican Approval Committee.

Fascism creates an in-group that the law protects but does not bind, and an out-group that the law binds but does not protect. Maybe some day the Villages will get to know what it’s like to be in the out-group, but I don’t see that happening soon.

Between now and May there will be a stream of bills like this meant to prop up DeSantis’ bonafides with the MAGA cult, leading into his presidential campaign announcement. I guess we’ll have to see if his play for the worst elements of American society pays off in winning the Republican nomination, and then if he can fool enough people into thinking he’s not really like that to win in the general election. DeSantis with control of the federal government would truly be a disaster, he’s the worst elements of the Trump administration with the smarts to pull off all the schemes those bozos couldn’t, and the desire to screw everyone in the nation over outside of his groupies.

Hey they were punished, they paid their monies to get out of doing community service. Though I do wonder if they were hauled off to jail by the police wearing handcuffs and only in their boxers?

But Ron will have a record to run on, and be questioned about. May the last part really bite him in his ass.

Let me guess, only democrats get prosecuted or punished.

Someone should shove this bill up DeSantis’ ass.

Fascism always starts innocuously.

Once Upon a time it was simply a narrow win over Gillum.

That is the concern.

Very few people are in the in group but enough think they are in the in group and support what is worst for them and by the time they realize they are not in the in group it is to late.

So voting in Florida is on the very slippery slope to becoming a crime…depending on who one votes for. Are we sure DeSantis isn’t really Viktor Orban autocrat in Hungary or Putin himself?
DeSantis wants absolute control as does any dictator

Dickhead looks like he’s pinching off a stubborn loaf 24/7. No way he gets more than a handful of delegates.

I have a hard time believing he would be a viable national candidate. All he does is wage culture wars. He’s also a terrible speaker and I forget who used this as a put-down, but he looks like the little man on top of the wedding cake. Trump was like a circus, entertaining in his way, and he had that TV persona. DeSantis doesn’t have any star power.
