Video from the event shows hundreds of people watching the back-and-forth in a large conference hall.
do click on the link. What it show is hundreds of people (at least half) looking at their phones, pretty much ignoring what Ivanka is saying. And I didn’t see any evidence of headsets, or ear pieces that would be needed for simultaneous translation of her comments. Just lots of people, filling up seats because their government or company wants them to pretend to be interested in what Trump’s daughter has to say.

This is all part of the long game that Trump is playing.
He is setting up Ivanka for a 2024 run (in the event he wins in 2020).
He has said as much many times in the past.
And after Ivanka they will put up Eric in 2032 (they will never put up Don Jr. because he is such a fuck-up.)
