I’ve read some people on twitter who warn Tribelsocial is a sketchy setup, I’m waiting to learn more as more knowledgeable people study it and Bluesky as well.

Did he ever clarify which version of the source code he thought the developers should give away? The beta version, the patched? The local version or the network version? Before deployment or after? Just one copy or a copy for each terminal?

It would be pretty typical for an 82-year old man to believe that he needed to do the protecting of other members of the household, even if they were objectively stronger/better able to heal from injuries. The snippets of info released about the 911 call suggested a quasi-hostage situation where he was stalling for time until the police got there. Trying to protect other household members would fit pretty squarely with that behavior
God I hope there wasn’t a grandchild present.

The Bottom is if the GOP takes congress. Why the general populace is not treating this as an existential matter is truly bewildering.
It never should have been close, given the stakes
At worst, it should have been a tossup between Democratic blow-out and Democratic convincing victory.
Pro-Tip:
If and when the GOP seizes control of our government and places into action measures to ensure their reelection, the situation becomes more stark…and we must never forget that German fascism was stopped by multiple countries invading it at great cost of life

They do love a sewer. How can we turn everything into cesspools and sewers, they ask? We don’t like nice things. We can’t handle nice things. When all their committees get done deliberating, the outcome is always that they decided on a sewer.
