Not that it means anything portentous, but according to Maggie Haberman, Trump has cancelled his trip to Bedminster, so maybe he’ll crash the Covid-19 briefing today after all.

Now, I gotta walk. Temp. gonna hit 107 or so today. SARS-CoV-2 can’t be happy in this heat. Or, can it?

“The tip of the iceberg can’t be growing with the iceberg shrinking,” said Dr. Sten Vermund, dean of the Yale School of Public Health. “It violates laws of physics and oceanography.”

In other states, including Arizona, Texas and Florida, which did not see a wave of early cases and deaths, the increase in positive results has far surpassed testing growth.

This is what you hear from people with the right qualifications/degress and is telling the truth about science…in contrast to what the Trump MAL-administration has been doing!

Nepotistic 1st Daughter tweeted this:

Tone deaf Nepotistic Ivanka must mean that the Trump MAL-admin is focusing on the skills of lying and toadying instead of degrees!

That is always entertaining… since nobody wants to have UV light shove up his ass, and drinking or injecting disinfectant has severe side effects. Maybe he can come with some brilliant new ideas. Who knows maybe tear gas and rubber bullets prevent the propagation of the virus and that is the reason why there are so few new cases related to the protests

They’re holding it in the HHS building, so likely not. It’s possible they didn’t even tell him.

Pence just lied his way through the task force briefing, but that’s hardly a surprise.

“Just speaking as an epidemiologist, if I saw rising testing, rising case numbers and declining hospitalizations and deaths, I would say that Donald Trump and Vice President Pence are correct,” Vermund said. Conversely, if those measures are rising, “I would say that they are blowing smoke.”

As a doctor, could you tell us out of which orifice the smoke might be blowing?

Hey, they are getting enough testing in Duval County FL, with 447 new cases listed today. Gonna be a really fun convention for Trump and his boot lickers in Jacksonville. They can all yell, no masks, then go home for some close up time on a ventilator.

He had little Mike there to do the major lying today.

Remember that Trump had casinos that went bankrupt, more than once. He’s not too good with numbers.

Even worse, this doesn’t even make the top ten list of defects that should have disqualified him from the presidency.

positive test counts increase with testing effort, positive test rates do not and hospitalizations do not.

Tangential information:

Tim Walters, one of the organizers of “ReOpen Maryland” has tested positive for Covid-19. He has pledged to protect his associates by refusing to participate in Maryland’s contact tracing program. But, not to worry, he’s called his associates to let them know.

In terms of health risk, Mr. Walters is a diabetic who has suffered several episodes of mini-strokes.

The mini-strokes would explain a lot…

Trump’s Misleading Testing Claims

Really? Trump’s claim were misleading? (Read outright whopper lies.) Shocker.

The past three+ years have been the easiest for fact checkers who verify articles on Dumpf and his administration. Assume every utterance including, strangely enough, and and the are lies and the job is done. There is a .00001 percent chance that Dumpf said something truthful and even when he does slip and utter a truth, it’s still a lie (contextually).

allow me to simplfy ‘testing’…you hear a snake in your garage…you go look and , sure enough, there is a big fat rattler in the garage, so you close the door and go about your day…thinking the snake will go elsewhere…and you do not look for the snake again…and the beat goes on.
