I think the headline is wrong. The real transgression is that she used government property for travel unrelated to her job. The fact that she did so to meet with right-wingers is secondary.

She’s a rookie at this. Her raw ambition is palpable. She’s not even on the playing field with Nikki. Look to Kristi to flame out early. This lightweight scandal and her own answers re the Attorney General car accident fiasco are not going to serve her well. Rookie mistakes she should have avoided.

“… state law forbids the use of a state-owned aircraft for anything other than state business. There are no exceptions, and the law mandates fines of ten times the cost of the flight for a plane’s misuse.”
