I hope Flynn is realizing just how stupid it was to pull this shit. He could have been sentenced and done. Now Donnie is on his way out, with plenty of his own problems to worry about. Unless Flynn has something that can hurt Trump in state court he has no leverage. Throw both those traitors in jail and lose the keys.

It could be as corrupt as all that, but I think it plays more to Trump’s own obsessions. He likes to reward debased sycophancy and doesn’t like being told “No.” So he’s wanting them to genuflect to his desires. But Flynn is also the first minion caught up in the “Russia thing” and so long as that continues to be a thing, it calls into question Trump’s legitimacy and he can’t get over that.
Those meanies in NY high society wouldn’t let him in to their parties, so he ran for office to try to force himself in the door. But all that is for naught if it was all arranged by Russia and not through proper channels and wants needs to be accepted by the social elite. He deserves to be.

Possibly but I think Judge Sullivan knows that if he doesn’t give in to Barr’s request, there will be recriminations against this judge. The question is will Barr have enough time before January to move against Sullivan or will Barr get four years to do it.

But yet Trump let Stone’s case go to trial, get sentenced, and then granted him clemency. And Trump and Stone have known each other far longer than Flynn and Trump. And Manaforte???
So I agree that Trump is desperate to have that asterisk removed from behind his name, but I’m not seeing the picture here. Maybe I need special glasses?

Yeah, we’re all trying to rationalize the irrational, so there’s a level of futility in all our guesses. I don’t have a compelling explanation for the difference between Stone and Flynn. Stone was removed from Russia by one level since Wikileaks insists that Guccifer 2.0 wasn’t really Russian intelligence. So maybe that plays a part in Trump’s addled brain. Stone’s case wasn’t really about Russia, so it wasn’t as significant and could be ignored, while Flynn’s is inextricably linked.

I’m not saying we have to build a new prison, but I think all the convicted Trumpers need to be placed together in one spot. But we don’t have to inflict them on any other federal prisoners. We should find the most out of the way prison to coral them all.
