President Donald Trump made an appearance on “Fox and Friends” on Wednesday morning, during which he peddled a variety of falsehoods and conspiracy theories while also hinting at possibly giving his virtual Republican National Convention (RNC) acceptance speech at the White House.
Trump peddled the infamously anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that Democratic mega-donor George Soros is secretly bankrolling the anti-fascist movement known as “antifa,” which has become a political cudgel for conservatives seeking to undermine the recent racial justice protests.
“You have Democrats funding them. They say Soros and they say other people, who knows, but they’re funded,” the President said.
His evidence? “They have signs that were made in a high-class printing shop.”
I’m starting to wonder if Trump mispronouncing Yosemite as “Yo! Semites!” was code for his QAnon followers.
SOROS Group International™ has no particular allegiance except SOROS, thus we equally fund both ANTIFA and FA to promote chaos which allows SOROS to consolidate power.
After the Axios interview, anything Trump now says on Fox is lame.
I find so funny that for so long I always thought he was just insane in those coddling FoxNews interviews. But once we saw Jonathan Swan push him around - just a little bit - the insanity was heightened. Not only was he terrifyingly insane in what he said, his body carried it with him, in his shoulders, his jaw, his wandering eyes, his twitchy fingers, his rage at being so stupid and so wrong.
‘Be afraid. Be very afraid. We’ll be bringing up smears and insults from DECADES ago. C’mon WHITE PEOPLE! Unite!’ He really is an egregious piece of scum…
Isn’t campaigning from the White House illegal? And wouldn’t a party nomination acceptance speech, by definition, be campaigning?
I know it’s rather a quaint thought that illegality would affect any WH decision, but I’m trying not to allow their onslaught of outrages become normalized.
Sorry, TPM, you’re not yanking my chain again this morning. These performances by Trump are becoming as predictable as the motions of the planets around the sun.
I’m going out for a walk and a heapin’ helpin‘ O’ fine Tucson sunstroke.
“Trump peddled the infamously anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that Democratic mega-donor George Soros is secretly bankrolling the anti-fascist movement known as ‘antifa’…”
”And the massacres! So many massacres have gone unreported by the menstruating feminists of the damestream bleedia — the silent majority of which happen on Sundays, the day that George Soros hands out checks to journalists. (Coincidence?) These massacres include not only Bowling Green in 2013, but Syracuse in 2011, Malibu Beach in 2014, and Red Lobster in 2015, when a radicalized aorta carried out a lone-wolf heart attack. We must also never forget the slayings at the MTV Music Awards in 2016 — where so many radicalized black women in Beyoncé’s entourage absolutely slayed.”
