Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) on Wednesday offered a bad faith comparison to justify the state’s stricter voter ID law, saying he had to show his ID the last time he flew Delta Air Lines.
Well, he is right about one thing. Up until the airlines used the TWA-800 tragedy (design error, not terrorism, but not determined until years later) to require an ID to board, they weren’t required. The airlines forced the issue to prevent arbitrage of one way tickets (buy a round-trip, and sell one of the tickets to someone else).
But at least the airlines were just doing it to maximize their profits, and not with any racist intent…
Dearest Bootlicker Kemp, the difference between flying Delta and voting is that one is optional and the other is a constitutional right guaranteed to all citizens. Conflating the two makes you look as dumb as you are.
ignores the content of the new law, and unfortunately continues to spread the same false attacks being repeated by partisan activists.”
As opposed to Kemp? The man is the very exemplar of a non-partisan, devoted to “sanctity” and democratic ideals as stable as the bridge between the twin peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Showing ID at the polls is not the problem. Forcing the elderly and disabled to provide picture ID every time they vote absentee is ridiculous. Allowing the legislature to override local election results is criminally anti American. Making water and food available for those in long lines to vote against the law is petty and cruel.
Kemp is a dumb fucker…and this response proves it. In fact, Kemp is so slack that it is clear to me that the GA Voting Rights Fascism is as much a “Save me from Stacey” Law as anything else.
A lot of them are incorporated in Delaware because its corporation laws are stacked in favor of management, but HQs are located in places where management prefers to live.
This is their only play in their playbook to try and make Delta to go along with their stupid legislation.

The Georgia legislature gave final passage to a bill Thursday that would cut state income tax rates for individuals and corporations, without a tax break on jet fuels for airlines.
Earlier this week, Republican state Senate leaders took out the jet fuel provision from the income tax bill. Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle tweeted on Monday he would “kill any tax legislation that benefits Delta” after Delta Air Lines said it would stop giving discounts to NRA.
