Some GOPers Defend Cheney As Her GOP Leadership Role Comes Under Threat | Talking Points Memo

As House Republicans inch closer to ousting Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) as the caucus’ conference chair for her vehement refusal to go along with former President Trump’s election fraud falsehoods, a few GOP lawmakers on Sunday came out in support of the third-ranking Republican as her future in GOP leadership hangs in the balance.

And now a word from the undisputed and never to be doubted leader of the Republican Party:

Seriously, how tough is it to tell the loser that he lost?

There has to be a sizeable, albeit silent, let’s-move-on caucus in what was once the Republican Party. Right?

Right?

There is a reason why only Donald Trump hears the whole world laughing.

I remember when this would be a BFD.

The Trump party, formerly known as the Republican party, has become a vile center of belligerent, un-American evil.

I really don’t know what he knows or doesn’t know. He thinks you could inject people with bleach and that we have invisible fighter jets. He thinks we need to be raking the forests to prevent fires. I think you’d have to ask him how exactly a horse would take drugs even if it wanted to.

Well he did take that competency test.

Seems that all Trump can do is bad-mouth America. Is anyone still wondering why Trump is a loser?

Not me.

For some reason, after being a billionaire, going to high end schools, never doing a day of manual labor, being in show business, owning properties including resorts and on top of that being president, he still feels America owes him.

If it were not for the fact I realize he is a maladjusted and mentally ill person, I would ask what the heck America did to him. But in this case, it is simply just by existing.

I believe there may be a ‘Please God let him die soon’ caucus in the Republican Party. But it may be smaller than we would think.

Let’s you and him fight.

I love it.

It seems relevant that in order to be considered sufficiently loyal, the oath of allegiance to Dotard has to supersede any oath of office that the GOP may take, or may have taken. The “party of law and order” demands that you be willing to break the laws of your state and the country if it is advantageous to the man they all worship.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told Fox News’ Sean Hannity last week that the Republican Party “can’t grow without” Trump,

Just as our country should strive to be a nation of laws and not individuals, a Party should come together around core principles, ideas, and policy positions, not a particular individual. And certainly not one as toxic, maladjusted, nihilistic, poisonous, and treasonous as Donald Trump.

It’s a Purity Spiral, Larry.

And despite the pretty name, Purity Spirals are bad.

I have no idea what that means, but I presume somewhere in America there is a 130 lb. horse with calves the size of cantaloupes bringing drugs across our border. Though some of those horses, to be sure, are very fine equines.

Trump seems even more deranged than last we left him - on Joe Biden’s glorious Inauguration Day.
