CNN’s Jeff Zucker said Thursday that he’d be interesting in hiring the “very talented” Shep Smith just as soon as his pesky Fox News contract lets him work again.
Why? He’s a right-wing rat who stood out at Fox only because once every few months he’d pipe up with something that sounded almost normal, before going back to the day-to-day garbage.
O/T: Nice to see that we can leave the Kurds to be slaughtered and surrender them to russia and assad, but by golly we’ll send in tanks to defend the oil fields.
Pretty sure that if Trump had been in charge of liberating Concentration Camps he’d have ignored all of the people in them and focused on finding where their stolen valuables had been taken…
Smith alluded to a “non-compete” clause in his contract that would preclude him from assuming in the near future a role similar to the one he had at Fox. It will be interesting to see whether Fox holds him to it.
He would be an interesting figure on CNN. I disagree with Zucker’s contention that they want more of these guys: they lie and make stuff up so often their contribution is mainly to make the truth more difficult to discern.
“It is hard to find people who will come on and support the president’s view. We need those voices, and I think there’s a place for them.”
Ran it through the Google WTF Translator:
“It’s hard to find people who will attach their reputations to the dumpster fire that is Trump. We need those voices and I think we can normalize the treason.”
“It’s my belief that we should represent those out there who support Trump, what they think,” said Zucker. “It is hard to find people who will come on and support the president’s view. We need those voices, and I think there’s a place for them.”
Blimey, hard to find people that will come on and represent the POS’s views. In my opinion that’s all we ever hear. Guess a lot of people love lying machines.
How true. Just like we should have found all of the Good Nazis after the war, and asked how they felt about us invading their homeland, and make sure viewers could hear both sides of the arguments regarding the Final Solution.
Shep was making 15 million a year in his latest contract that was just renewed last year. Back in 2007, he was making between seven and eight million annually.
He most likely has enough coin set aside to retire and write a tell all book about Fox to goose his retirement income. I’m sure he invested wisely all along so don’t expect to see him working for a few years.
added:
If he was indeed forced out, I’m sure part of the package was to keep collecting his annual salary until the end of his contract in exchange for him keeping mum about the real reason for leaving.
Then again, he could have just quit also. Who da phuck knows?
