‘Laying the Breadcrumbs’ Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) sent a letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and to Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, on Tuesday, asking both Defense Department officials to confirm that the Pentagon will not send troops to polling places during the upcoming midterms. “I’d ask you to…

Trump should send ICE agents to the polls to make sure noncitizens don’t vote.
–Steve Bannon

Make sure they’re armed to the teeth. Along with, of course, carrying all the latest citizenship data on their cellphones, so they can call up the citizenship papers and judicial statuses of every individual who touches a ballot.

Do Republicans realize they’re hosting a gestapo government, revolting to almost every single human being living on this planet?

Their party stains them all.

“I’ve worked for Republicans like Senator Cornyn my entire career, but this year I’m proud to be joining James Talarico’s campaign. Instead of playing partisan politics, Talarico speaks to the needs of everyday people who day in and day out work too hard for too little,” Smith told The Hill. “I’m encouraging all my fellow Republicans who know Ken Paxton is unfit to serve in the Senate to finally hold him accountable at the ballot box.”

Translation, I have a new house in Virginia and I don’t want to take my kids out of school.

ABC and its corporate parent, the Walt Disney Co., sued the Federal Communications Commission in federal court Tuesday over the agency’s recent investigations into the network and challenges to its broadcast license renewals. FCC Chair Brendan Carr has made it almost explicit that these actions against ABC are part of a Trumpian retribution scheme in retaliation for jokes made on its late-night shows and for unfavorable coverage of Trump’s war with Iran. ABC argues in the lawsuit that the Trump administration has violated its free speech rights.

I think Brendo Carr is going to learn that you don’t mess with the Mouse. To paraphrase a line from the Princess Bride: Brendon Carr fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is ‘never get involved in a land war in Asia’ - but only slightly less well-known is this: ‘Never go in against the Mouse when the First Amendment is on the line!’" [1, 2, 3, 4]

I suppose that it’s worthwhile to try and get out ahead of things, try to get some kind of response down in black & white. But in the long run the response will not be worth anything. If tRump gives the order Kegsbreath is going to follow it without question. I would imagine they would designate “ antifa “ as being armed enemies of the US. And they might just get away with it.

That reason is totally fine with me.

Keep asking Hegseth, Caine and anyone else over at the Department of Endless War about sending troops to the polls this fall. And then point out that that, in combination with limiting mail-in voting and proof of citizenship requirements, could be called, in language they’d recognize, a “force multiplier.”

The troops can’t wait, either.

Of course Hegseth will try to send troops to polling places as Trump directs. The real question is who in the chain of command is going to buck the order.

She shouldn’t be asking - she should be DEMANDING that he doesn’t send troops to the polls. Everybody in this administration is like their boss - their word is worthless , asking them to give it means nothing.

From Natalie with love:

she’s an important figure beyond just rumor and jokes.

Hey, someone has to wipe his ass. He can’t.

On what basis? That you don’t like it? That it “doesn’t seem right”?

We all need to drop the fantasy that anyone in the military is going to do anything other than obey. Anyone refused to stop killing people on boats in the Gulf of Mexico? Not a one. The spree just continues unabated.

Darline Graham’s answer to debate question has to be seen to be believed

Newly appointed Sen. Darline Graham (R-S.C.) gave an eyebrow-raising answer during Tuesday’s special election debate.

Journalist/podcaster Greta Van Susteren asked Graham whether Taiwan or the South China Sea was a national security issue for the U.S.

“I’m just going to be honest here. I’m not that informed on national security,” Graham replied. “But I do support the military. My brother was in the Air Force for 33 years, so I will do everything I can to support the military.”

Exactly… it may be too late to do anything about TRUMP and his MAGAts. Any response from Hegseth would be worthless… our best hope is that sometime between now and election day TRUMP meets his natural demise.
