The joke is that this was viewed as a legitimate cause and solution to the Uvalde shooting. There’s nothing funny about any of this but the lengths some will go to blame anything but the easy access to assault rifles despite it being the common denominator to a majority of these mass shootings.

Going a bit tangential from the sadness and horrors of today’s violence, but I shared the part you mentioned about a place that provides QA Analysis work with my daughter, who is on the spectrum, as it is great to know that there are places like that which recognize the types of tasks that are congenial for many who are neuro-divergent in that way. She herself is a paralegal, and enjoys the detail, analysis and organization involved. Take care on this difficult day.

Seeing a lot of reports of Highland Park as a "white suburb" while leaving out or barely noting that it's a heavily Jewish community. Perhaps this is just a "random" mass shooting. But I'm not betting on it.

You’re a step or two ahead of me. I remember reading something about E.O’s and the SC, where the president, can appoint justices to the Court for a nine month period. Don’t know if it’s true (probably not) but it sounded like a great angle.
