Last year when Trump started blaming China with the “China Virus” and the “Kung Flu”, and the general GOP hostility towards China, I expressed my concern because republican fans that are very violent and not too smart will attack any Asian looking person, of which there are many in my neighborhood.
It saddens me that I was right, and many of the women killed weren’t even Chinese, they were Korean. Which like in the previous progrom against muslim, Hindus and Sikhs were targeted.
Look at the picture of this dude, he looks like he could be an ISIS fighter. A lot of our Right Wing Wackos have adopted the same look and affinity for driving pickups with flags flying in the back. Is this a coincidence?

It cannot be a anti-asian bigotry because two of the victims were white and a third one that survived is Hispanic. The guy was an equal opportunities killer, it’s a problem of mental health care that has deteriorated so badly since Biden came to office. And gun availability had absolutely nothing with this either.
But there’s the misogyny aspect here too. It’s a lollapalooza of American heartland style violence, really. Racism mixed with woman hate mixed with male sexual inadequacy, leading to guns replacing penises.
