I see more recently that Walmart is paying more than most other retail establishments pay, but I still wouldn’t work for them.

Rehab from what? Stoke, coronary? What? Funny how the narrative is he is in a care center and the actual cause is being left on the table and ignored. For all we know he has been transitioning and recovery is taking longer than expected. We can make up any story we want now. But he is in a care facility.
My real pet theory is he stroked out, the portions of the brain that define him have been destroyed. In partnership with Musk, they are attempting to use Neuralink in conjunction with Grok to rewire the remaining matter and provide him a semblance of a persona. This will include a small Starlink antenna or blue tooth connection to keep him updated and on the go. Expect hats when he is in public.
Seems most likely that the medical event rendered him incapable of speech (and, likely, cogent thought) such that there’s no way to get a video of him doing anything indicating sentience. Thus, we get still photos. They’re just hanging on for another week to avoid a special election, then they’ll declare him brain dud.
