President Donald Trump has not declared a state of emergency over the rapidly growing outbreak, reportedly because he fears doing so would disprove his repeated claim that the coronavirus isn’t any more serious than the flu.

They’ll be forced onto small tugboats, have to go through the Panama Canal to arrive on the East Coast. By that time they should know if they’re sick or not.
So what about this statement from medical professionals that the virus doesn’t like temps over 77 degrees? I know there aren’t that many cases in the upper midwest and in Canada, where it’s still seasonably cold, but that map seems to indicate an awful lot of confirmed infections in warmer climates.

I’m still seeing an awful lot of ‘what’s the big deal with this’ out on SM. They really don’t get it and probably won’t until it’s one of theirs.
I’ve told my client I’m fine with traveling from Minneapolis to Milwaukee or Chicago, as long as domestic air travel is good for their employees. Otherwise, let me know and I’m working remotely for the duration.

I have a lightening quick reaction to Toadglans appearing on my TV — either mute it until he disappears or change the channel.
Last night, however, I gave him a chance. I listened as he struggled to read aloud a highly polished address to the nation at a barely third-grade level of competence. I lasted about two minutes before I simply couldn’t take it anymore.
“Thank dog for Futurama reruns,” I thought.
