Senate Republicans Break With DeSantis Over Remarks On Pulling Support From Ukraine

Don’t worry, they’ll come around if and when he’s the nominee.

Primaries are almost a year away. By then the situation in the Ukraine might have better clarity. In other words, Russia is on the run and or defeated.

Ok, I’m being hopeful.

I don’t believe that DeSantis will be the nominee. He’s peaked way too soon, and that’s even before the Demo oppo researchers have needed, or felt the time was right, to unleash what they have.

Speaking of the devil, now he’s after Hyatt.

The DeSantis administration has moved to revoke the Hyatt Regency Miami’s liquor license after it hosted “A Drag Queen Christmas.” Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation filed a 17-page complaint Tuesday alleging minors “appearing less than 16 years of age” were present at the show, violating a law prohibiting “lascivious exhibition” before children. The filing’s “evidence” that minors were present seems to hinge on photos of people at the event who look like they could be minors. The event required any attendees under 18 to be accompanied by an adult. “Sexually explicit content is not appropriate to display to children and doing so violates Florida law,” Bryan Griffin, DeSantis’ press secretary, told Insider. The move comes as the latest in DeSantis’ anti-LGBTQ campaign as he likely gears up to run for president, following his takeover of Disney’s self-governing district after the company blasted Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill. The hotel is allowed to continue selling alcohol until the department makes its final decision, and will have 21 days to request a hearing after that, a spokesperson told Insider.

I counted three: Rubio, Cornyn and Graham.

Not exactly an overwhelming rebuke, is it? Much less a censure.

I would hardly call that a break. More like spine free and malodorous nothing.

Republicans are so far away from the dreams and hopes that the Declaration of Independence voices, or the Constitution tries to codify.

Nuance Marco? That’s pretty weak sauce. Disturbing? Jeebus these guys are so weak and yet they have all this power.

USA has problems.

Is Ron DeSantis Flaming Out Already?

As a flaming asshole, he’s got an unlimited supply!

No worries…Trump is available to lay down the U.S. response to a valiant effort by the Ukrainians.

Now that weighs the GOP down…

Eh, they’re probably too “woke” for that strutting, wannabe fascist–Just ask him, he’ll tell you.

Of a certainty.

I would like it to see Hawley and Vance write an essay on what Democracy means to them.
 Now how many pages should we require? I know that I want citations, and a complete bibliography, which doesn’t count towards the required length of the essay.

More artistic, perhaps:

I would rather place Rhonda in the pure context of the outlook for the continuation of this Republic. None of the individuals interested in the GOP Nomination for POTUS approach having the qualities necessary for that continuation.

There is no off-ramp in which the GOP dumps Trump or Rhonda and then fields an individual who possesses the characteristics of a stable, perceptive and compassionate leader of the United States.

The so-called feud between the above fascists is illustrative, but we had better hone our skills enough to Prevail in 2024…and, to start with, continue the actions of the doers among us and going slow on the despair.

This is a good tell into why DeSantis is no tolerable alternative to Trump. Like Trump, DeSantis is a true fascist. I never thought it was an accident that Trump revived Lindbergh’s catchphrase, America First. This is one bit of history Trump would have learned from his old man. Lindbergh knew back then that he could not come out as pro Hitler, as that would have repercussions, yet a push for neutrality and a focus on money could have the same effect.

Similarly, Trump and DeSantis know they cannot get away with overt Putin support, so they focus on the budget and talk of peace or neutrality.

Desantis is a bit out of control as things are rolling. Petty dictator caught the bumper on that car he is chasing. Worrying it a bit with his teeth, making growly noises.

He is not going to ever be president.

Donnie will see to it.
