Republicans in Congress have been looking for ways to codify some of the Trump administration’s various efforts to take a sledgehammer to the separation of powers and defy the judiciary since courts first began blocking some of his most legally dubious executive actions and DOGE cuts. The legislators’ efforts have taken a few different forms.…
The Hive is speechless. I know the feeling.
The rule of tyrant-oh!-sore-us rex is upon us.
The supreme court says that’s a-ok! (There’s a thread on that specifically, but it’s so hard to find optimism on legislative solutions when the SCOTUS refuses to enforce the damn law)
Very clever, Russ Vought. So does that mean that if my enemy’s doctor has given him fewer than 45 days to live, I can go ahead and “pocket murder” him?
“The Majority Leader’s report concludes that all 12 fatal gunshots to the Parliamentarian’s back were self-inflicted…”

Silly rabbits, looking for a solution to a nonexistent problem. The Supreme Court is green lighting all “of the Trump administration’s various efforts to take a sledgehammer to the separation of powers and defy the judiciary.” The Republicans in Congress can sit back and watch, comfortable in their knowledge that there is no need for them to do anything.
And while they are sitting back there watching I will be waiting for TRUMP to come for them, and when he does I will be cheering him on.
Welp, he’s coming after Massie–apparently for having the temerity to say that bombing Iran was unconstitutional. I thought I heard that he is coming after another (R) 'critter, too.
whatever makes them think he won;t come for them???
listening to people talking; some say these masked raiders are ERIC PRINCE’S militia!
I absolutely love TPM, but can it stop referring to the radical right wingers infesting the Trump regime as “conservatives?” They aren’t conservative on the least, but extremists.
Probably a lot of proud bois too.
Do these goons act like trained police officers?
Today, on NPR’s “Fresh Air”, the guest was an expert on Iranian politics and history. He noted that, under Iran’s current “Revolutionary Government”, the Ayatollah has great power but no accountability, whereas the elected officials have accountability but no power.
Just like here! Thanks to the formerly-Supreme Court’s Seditious Six, President Felonius Trumo enjoys absolute power, unconstrained by the Constitution, but no accountability thanks to the comatose if not complicit Congress. Meanwhile, there’s that useless Congress, which actually has accountability to its voters, but has gleefully surrendered its power.
