So the GQP held this up just long enough to hold through the Senate recess until April. I want to say Schumer should have held the Senate in town long enough to have this vote, but he’s got a lot balls in the air already.

after she graduated law school.

One of my pet peeves. She graduated from law school.

Cornyn is embarrassed because he gave an award to a totally corrupt police officer in a small Texas town. And that cop’s actions should have embarrassed Cornyn who was TX AG at the time, because the number of defendants, and the charges being brought should have a the very minimum triggered a staffer at the TX AG’s office to keep an eye on the proceedings.
What the hell is with Republicans and their failure to vet people, policies, and info?

When an elected official, which has a staff of people to keep him informed is fooled by satire. Texas you’re not sending your smartest, you’re sending your gullible.

Seems like there might be some distinguishing characteristic between Vanita Gupta and Lisa Monaco, but I can’t quite see it.

Me neither. Both names seem to have the same number of vowels.

One used to say was graduated by a school.

I don’t mind the from but, like you, I still find jarring the complete absence of a preposition.

Must be the consonants, then.

Great.!

Big one " given the endorsement she had gotten from cop groups, all the way up to the Trump-loving Fraternal Order of the Police"

Sometimes the opposition has NOTHING to hide behind and Cornyn getting his ass handed to him for past misjudgement.

Yep, she’s RADICALLY anti-cop. Anti-corrupt, racist and brutal cop. Yay to radicalism!

‘Funny’ how they decided to ‘advance’ the nomination after Rachel Maddow showed them up for the petty revenge filled bigoted aholes they are. Yeah ‘funny’.

I hope Lawyer Gupta will be confirmed in spite of the hatred from Senator Conyn whom she thoroughly embarrassed 20 years ago (and I am very glad she did). And she regained the reputations and freedom of a lot of wrongly accused and convicted Black folks in a small Texas town. They were accused of cocaine dealing only on the word of one bad cop who had zero evidence of any kind. And he freely admitted he had no evidence of any kind yet Cornyn presented this guy with a “Cop of the Year” award. In steps Gupta.
