It did seem funny how the “Biden corruption scandal” disappeared after he lost big in Iowa, and only came back after he won in SC. Lies is all the Republicans have, they will continue to lie to the American people until they are finally forced from power. Hopefully, people will respond strongly to this and reject the lies this November.

Dem leadership about to get another lesson in using investigation for political gain.
Dems had a blatantly corrupt president in their sights, went small, rushed the process to its conclusion and on the other end have a completely undamaged (by that process) president. Dems handed control over to the R’s and let them laugh in their faces.
Now the R’s who have a bullshit, manufactured investigation will slow walk it and drop leak after leak for 8 months so that by the election Ukraine is synonymous with Biden not Trump.
Pelosi, Nadler and Schiff handled impeachment like prosecutors and its all but forgotten now. Total waste of an opportunity. If only they had the guts to try again on one of Trump’s other thousand impeachable offenses.
It’s also sounding lamer and lamer. As a focus of a presidential campaign, it’s just chock full of “who cares?”

I didn’t say Hunter did anything wrong. But he was wrong to take the job. It looked bad, and he should have recognized that. And it looks bad that Joe did not tell him to give it up. Looking bad is not as bad as doing bad, but it’s not good. As witness what’s been happening.

But all those hearings did help to smear Hillary. The private server and Comey’s letter did enough damage that she lost. Trump repeating "crooked Hillary over and over was just the icing on the cake.
But if the process was still going on as we write, with Dems patiently waiting for the courts to weigh in, etc., how can we be sure that you wouldn’t now be complaining about them “slow-walking” it?
For some reason, I think this feels like striking the match twice. I just don’t think DJT can make this hurt Joe the same way this time.

What do you see? How much political damage was done to Trump? His poll numbers are higher than when the inquiry started (fractions of a point, but he suffered no harm). They started the inquiry in late 2019. We have 300 days left in 2020 and impeachment is forgotten about as a national discussion.
Dem leadership should have kept the investigation in the House, fought in the courts and spent months on end dropping details to the media. Kept it front cover for a year. That’s how you do damage with an investigation. It works for R’s when they’re making the shit up. We had the truth to drop on them. SMH.
Is the GOP going to model this effort on the Benghazi investigation or are they going model it on the Clinton email server investigation? If so are they going to be able to recruit the NYT to help.
Because I was recommending that strategy then. and you don’t just sit and wait. You constantly drop more details week by week. I never wanted it to go to the senate because they were obviously going to sweep it aside and laugh in our faces as they did.
