The Democrats need to recognize that the Party of Trump is simply pure evil. And when fighting pure evil you must use every weapon in you arsenal. The filibuster must go. And. Biden needs to call Manchineel and Simina to the White House to convince them that nothing less than the survival of the United States is at stake (and to bribe them with goodies for Arizona and West Virginia).

I agree that the modern GOP is evil incarnate. But I disagree that the filibuster must go. It must, however, be modified to eliminate these sorts of outrages. It needs to stay because if / when Republicans control the Senate, Democrats will need a way to stop them from who knows what sorts of damaging things they would likely do if not constrained.
Not happening. Were it a physical thing, Sinema would shove the fiibuster up her cooter and flee to TX to protect it from being aborted if she could. And Manchin would provide the oil to lube the whole process.
