Good. Token legislation that achieves nothing of substance is less than nothing.

A recommendation, excuse me, a restriction on chokeholds instead of an outright ban with consequences attached if they were to be used makes for weak legislation. And Rs know it.

Republicans including Moscow Mitch McConnell owe almost all if, not all, of their success in federal elections to racists and racism, so it would be beyond naive to think McConnell and Republicans will do anything other than continue to exploit and advance racism.

Next the media will report that Mitch won’t agree to a bill with anything sensible in it. Which isn’t news, but they’ll report it anyway, along with the usual bargle of lies that falls out of the hole in his face. He’s a cancer on humanity.

The ad about “Do Nothing Democrats Only Want Your Vote” is cued up and ready for distribution to minority-oriented media.

Mitch isn’t accountable. The very idea of having someone in a powerful position have to answer for misconduct simply is offensive to him.

I don’t grasp the Minority Leader’s strategy. Why not let the Senate bill pass, with Democrats voting however they want? Then it would go to the House, where exists a Democratic majority to consider the proposal from a position of strength. I’m sure the Speaker would be happy to discuss needed improvements with the Minority Leader. Then send it to Conference for a vote, the way normal laws are supposed to get passed.
