The abject cruelty of this administration defies comprehension. It would just be easier to conduct airstrikes on other parts of the world and kill people outright rather than allow people to die of starvation and treatable diseases. Oh, wait….

I’ve seen plenty of comments to the effect that Trump doesn’t want a Republican to succeed him so that he can claim that he was the only Republican who could vanquish the evil Democrats. I think it goes beyond that, and that he real goal is to ensure that whoever follows him fails, and that he’ll be seen as the last president to accomplish anything (although it’s fair to question whether he’s accomplished anything at all). Assuming a Democratic president in 2029, the next several administrations will focus not on moving forward but on rebuilding from the rubble he leaves at home and reestablishing the relationships he’s wrecked. USAID is but one example of how he’s going about this.

What Trump and his sycophants want to do is STEAL THE MONEY.
That is I completely disagree with this from the article:

“It seems it was more important to them that no one got the money than that it actually went to helping dying people overseas,” Bobby Kogan, senior director of federal budget policy at Center for American Progress, told TPM. “They would rather literally set the money on fire then help save people who are dying overseas — who we could have saved and we’re supposed to save — in extremely cost efficient ways.”
This money will end up in some Trump account, be it crypto or in some foreign account. But that is what Trump and Republicans want to do with the money, STEAL IT!
