Senate Chaplain Rear Admiral Barry Black (Ret.) was unusually pointed in his plea for action after yet another school shooting Monday that left both children and adults dead.

Dead kids is the policy.

Everlasting slaughter. Eternal carnage.

A Nashville reporter covering the massacre had herself survived a school shooting as a child. A spectator at the police press conference had herself survived the Hyde Park IL massacre last year. “Aren’t you guys tired of this?” she asked the assembled community leaders. The answer, alas, is no.

At this rate, there will come a massacre when everybody present and alive at the aftermath will have survived an earlier massacre. Maybe by then, we will have collectively waded through enough childrens’ blood for the answer to be yes.

1 John 2:4 Whoever says, “I have come to know him,” but does not obey his commandments is a liar, and in such a person the truth does not exist.

Murdoch has a hand in this as well. Someone has to act as the bulwark against thinking that we choose genocide…

Well, there’s a man who will shortly be replaced. “Thoughts and prayers” are his entire business. How dare he suggest that the Congress actually do something?

Watch for the tweetybird racist denunciations. Along with calls to “preserve Our Freedumbs!!”

“Lord, when babies die at a church school, it is time for us to move beyond thoughts and prayers.”

The GOP only cares about zygotes, blastocysts, and fetuses. Babies? “You’re on your own. Good luck!”

Show the crime scene pictures (with permission). Emmett Till’s mother showed us the way. Could it possibly be worse than our current practice of ignoring the devastation? People have absolutely no idea what these guns do to a body. I have stood on an ER floor covered in one man’s blood, every drop, after a gunshot. 45 years later I still smell it. Let gun nuts see the horror that they enable.

I’ve been assured the real problem is that our reaction to dead kids is “emotional.”

Chaplain the NRA has won.

We know that when it comes to guns the shootings will only get worse because Citizens United guarantees that Russian money can flow unchecked thru the Tiny Penis Club to Republicans and “Problem Solvers” Democrats like Boris Manchin and Natasha Sinema.

Even if Congress would pass any law about guns Trump and Moscow Mitch packed the courts with enough Federalist Society stooges who will gladly throw out any gun laws because that sacred right to hold an Iron Penis “shall not be infringed”.

The ‘conservative’ members in the House won’t even TRY. Tim Burchett said it out loud this morning. HIS daughter is ‘safe’ because he homeschools. Fund raising would dry up. He is a ‘Christian’, pro-life. Unfortunately, he has no ethics, morals or values.

How is it that these men and women think of themselves as “leaders” because they have been elected to office? They are anything but! They are not even good followers of anything other than the money they receive from the gun lobby, and the idea that a small minority of gun fanatics will vote them out of their privileged offices if they dare act for the good of the children of this country.
Sadly, this chaplain will not convince these sorry excuses for adults of their obligation to do what they know damn well needs doing. Few of them were in the chamber in the first place. They were elsewhere dialing for dollars!

We got the best ¢ongre$$ that Ru$$Ian money flowing thru the NRA can buy thanks to the ¢ompletely ¢orrupted $upreme ¢ourt!

What John Cornholio really means is that it’s the duty of the Republican Party to keep serving fresh blood to the “tree of liberty”.

Yup. School shootings, grocery store shootings, and movie theater shootings are an acceptable price for near unlimited gun ownership to the NRA and its allies. And acceptable to the SCOTUS, too.

I lost my last vestige of hope after Sandy Hook. If a classroom full of dead first graders didn’t move the needle, nothing will. Not as long as it’s our kids and not the politicians’ kids being slaughtered.

The very nature of being Republican is not giving a rat’s ass about a thing until the thing affects you personally.

Reverend, I appreciate your prayer here, but I must ask why you confined your prayer to church schools. NO child (or staff member) at ANY school should fall victim of a school shooting.
