Sen. Martha McSally Now Striking A Softer Tone On Impeachment Inquiry

Sen. Martha McSally (R-AZ) gave a noticeably less harsh assessment of the House impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump on Wednesday than she’d previously expressed.

Note to Martha McSally: No one who matters cares what you think or what you have to say. Go soft-pedal your nonsense somewhere out of public view, ma’am.

Thank you, concern troll, for your concern. History has noted your concerns.

“I think people want us to take a serious look at this and not have it be just partisan bickering going on,” McSally said.

Our whole point is that we WANT you to take a serious look at it, but you REFUSE to do so. What exactly do you need to have happen so that you can start taking it seriously?

McSally, Ernst, Gardner, Collins, Sasse … even Cornyn and McConnell need to be pressed on impeachment by the press and the public every day from now until the election.

McSally can read and has read the polls enough to see that her former stance on impeachment isn’t likely to go over well in purple AZ. The woman is a weasel—with apologies to weasels everywhere

She’s caught between a rock and a hard place. Her best chance of getting elected is to stay out of Arizona and avoid questions at all costs. I imagine Arizonans would appreciate that very much.

“Literally they are on a path to re-elect the President, keep the Senate majority [Republican] and possibly flip the House, McSally told Politico in September."

OK, if that is the case, why are you warming the Democrats to their danger when it will benefit you and your party? You must be one dumb bunny and I hope Mark Kelly puts you out of our misery in 2020.

One of these days she will whisper very softly that she thinks Trump should be impeached. She will say it so softly that people will strain to hear her and beg her to repeat it, but she will say oh never mind, it wasn’t important.

“Sen. Martha McSally Now Striking A Softer Tone On Impeachment…”

She’s not for “Impeachment”.

She’s only for a cute, little “Impeachmentte” that fits in a clutch, and accessorizes with her MAGA hat.

She’s likely to lose to Mark Kelly, and she’s pissed that her grift will end.

Changing your position is what happens when you listen to constituents. Good news.

The Dems running against them need to beat on them mercilessly and Trump keeps adding ammunition to their cause. The GOP (McConnell especially) will turn on Trump if it looks like he is going to cost them the Senate.

McSally like most Republicans has two stances on impeachment.

The first is outside Washington trying to sound like a moderate but still pushing the Party line by saying “this is serious but the Democrats are making it partisan” which if it is serious the investigation cannot be partisan.

The second is in Washington when it matters most and is to just fall in line with Republicans and Moscow Mitch’s scorched earth strategy.

Look for more Republicans, especially those up in 2020, to follow similar lines trying to sound moderate when it does not matter but even then without a real difference from hard line crazy which is the position they will take when it matters.

Hey, Martha, you could end this tiresome ”bickering” by reminding your fellow GOPers that fair elections, abuse of power, and national security are NOT partisan issues.

She hasn’t changed her position at all.

She’s just using different weasel words to pretend she has.
