Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) sent a letter March 1 indicating that he wants to begin issuing subpoenas in his investigation of the same debunked allegations that featured in President Trump’s impeachment.
They aren’t going to stop but folks need to understand they will open an ‘investigation’ of anyone who wins the Democratic nomination: Anyone.
I think Biden has been inoculated on this issue by the impeachment. Johnson is flogging a dead horse.
Instead of saying it’s “debunked” and “meritless,” it would be helpful if the fucking media would explain why the timeline makes the whole thing ridiculous.
They aren’t even trying to hide their quest for dirt on Biden any more. Maybe because they paid no penalty for it…
Just ignore the subpoenas. Why respond?

I don’t think it can be any clearer that Congressional subpoenas can be ignored.
I regularly ask critics of WI senator Tammy Baldwin what Ron Johnson has done for them lately.
Clearly, the answer is nothing worthwhile for the American people.

Johnson wrote that the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee had received “U.S. government records” about the matter, including State Department documents which, the Wisconsin Senator claimed, “corroborate records Mr. Telizhenko has already produced to the Committee.”
Johnson further stated that people should pay no attention to the fact that the 2019 and 2020 dates on said “U.S. government records” were scratched out and changed to 2015 and 2016 and that the authors of the “records” were not employed in government on the revised dates.

Agreed, but debunked and meritless are a huge improvement over treating the claims as passing the giggle test.
