Searching For Clues In SCOTUS’ Abortion Silence

When Justice Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed to the Supreme Court in October 2020, the anti-abortion community celebrated the beginning of a new era. The Court would now be heavily skewed to the right, and its newest member had been open about her own beliefs.

“It would show that there is not yet sufficient courage or will on the Supreme Court to confront this issue,” he said. “That’s bad news especially because the Court is not gonna get better in pro-life terms under Biden.”

But what does he think will happen if the current Court overturns Roe v. Wade? Might that not be precisely the kick in the head Congress needs to take up “reform” of SCOTUS?

If this holds and Amy Covid Bigot ain’t the wunderkid that MoscowMitch prayed for, maybe we’ll have dodged a bullet because in his haste to fill the seat while he had the chance, MoscowMitch of necessity had to cut corners and wouldn’t be able to do that long deep dive into whether she was the real deal or just using the federalists to get ahead.

The dog was never supposed to catch the car. And now the conservatives on the Court can’t figure out how to make it go away.

I’m sure Roberts understands that the very legitimacy of the Court is on the line and yet they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

Sadly, probably not. But it’s clear that the warriors on the court have spinal similarities to their invertebrates in the Senate. John Roberts, voting lately with the liberals, is probably paralyzed with fear to bring this up.

Why do people keep saying that like the court has had any legitimacy since Bush v. Gore, at a minimum

It’s a good thing that the people who keep insisting that Lucy won’t remove the football this time are well-conditioned to believe on faith alone.

Otherwise that voting bloc Rs have depended on for so long may decide that voting is not the way to achieve their goal of forcing their will on society.

The SCOTUS majority must uphold the view that the right to procreate is fundamental and does not attenuate, while indulging this replacement theory nonsense. If you can buy that, you can believe anything.

The Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court is a shot across the bow of the Court and Roberts knows it. If the Court were to flagrantly disregard the doctrine of stare decisis to overturn Roe v Wade it would be giving incentive for court packing and make Roberts basically feckless.

It doesn’t take a genius to lie prolifically.

The dog that was never supposed to catch the car is the GOPs’ entire raison d’etre (except for tax cuts).

Right on.

MoscowMitch made the mistake of pushing through a woman who was young enough to have several children who might need to avail themselves of an abortion at any time over the next several years… if not having already done so!

Um, I was referring to Hanson, not Limbaugh. He’s a regular on Fox and author of that marvelous tome Mexifornia about how lazy Latinos are taking the Golden State to hell by working so hard and taking all the good jobs.

Or profligately.

I’ll keep breathing until they show me a venture capitalist that looks like Caesar Chavez.

The worst part about Rush was the automatons that would repeat his nonsense as if it were fact because they heard it on the radio. The same goes for Hannity and Cucker Tarlson.

not to worry, Roe is in peril and they will take up the Mississippi case. They are just taking their time.

Some people aren’t clued into the fact that there’s a political game of Roshambo/Mexican Stand-off going on and if the SCOTUS makes an overt action, they may face steeper repercussions from the Legislature than if they take milder action or no action.

I have no doubt that she is “the real deal”. Maybe she wants to put some more time between her appointment and giving everyone the chance to say, “I told you she would bring her Catholic bias into the court.” She tried to hide her religious beliefs during her confirmation hearing. She may still be trying to hide them. For now.

Perhaps the court also realizes that because of McConnell’s actions with Garland/Souter and Ginsburg/Covid-Barrett it is now hopelessly political and wholly illegitimate?
